This privacy policy describes how Morse Field Signal ("the App"), developed by Kerem Çal, handles information when you use the App on iOS. The App is designed to work offline. We do not operate user accounts, advertising networks, or analytics services inside the App.
Summary
- No personal data is sold or shared with third parties for marketing.
- Morse encoding, decoding, signaling, and microphone listening are processed on your device only.
- Microphone audio is analyzed in memory for the Listener feature and is not recorded, stored, or uploaded.
- Optional tips are processed by Apple's StoreKit; we do not receive your payment card details.
Information the App processes
Content you enter
Text and Morse you type or paste in Encode and Decode tabs stays on your device. We do not transmit it to our servers because the App does not include a backend for core features.
Microphone (Listener)
If you use the Listener, the App requests microphone access to record and decode Morse clips. Audio is processed on your device. Recordings you choose to save stay on your device only and are not uploaded or used to identify you.
Camera / flashlight (Signal)
The Signal tab may use the device LED torch to transmit Morse visually. No images or video are captured or stored for this feature.
Local settings
Preferences such as unit length, tone frequency, and whether you have seen the safety advisory are stored in on-device storage (UserDefaults). This data is not accessible to us remotely.
Optional tips
The App is free. Optional consumable tips in Settings → Support are billed through Apple. Tips are voluntary, unlock no features, and can be purchased more than once. Apple processes payment; we do not receive your payment card details.
Data we do not collect
- Name, email, or phone number inside the App (no accounts)
- Location data
- Contacts, photos, or files
- Advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking
- Crash or usage analytics SDKs in the current release
Network use
Core Morse features do not require an internet connection. Network access may occur when StoreKit communicates with Apple to load tip products and complete optional purchases.
Children
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Because we do not maintain a user database for the App, most data exists only on your device. You can delete local data by removing the App. For tip or billing questions, contact Apple Support or use Apple's purchase history tools.
Changes
We may update this policy when the App changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
